Here's hoping (my 2011 list)

The list of projects I'd love to complete could be nearly endless, but in the interest of simplifying in the New Year...here's a BRIEF list of the projects I'd like to stitch....

Battle Hymn of the Republic - Little House Needleworks (Love them!!)

Fruit of the Spirit - Plum Street

Happy Home Sampler - (Cross Stitch and Needlework magazine) - this one is "in progress"

Tea - Gail Bussi

Easter Blessings - Just Cross Stitch Magazine

Harvest Blessings - Waxing Moon

Pumpkins - Little House

Asleep yet?  I can keep going...   :)

Hugs and Happy New Year!!!

2011 SAL's

First of all I would like to thank Terri for inviting me to join this blog.  I am going to enjoy watching all of you progress on your 2011 SAL's throughout the year.

I have 3 major projects that I need to get done.  The first one is a baby blanket which I must try to get done by January 22nd.  It has a total of 24 squares and I am just finishing square #4.  I am doing the EMS baby animals and zoo animals on the blanket.  The baby is not due until April but the shower is going to be on January 22nd so I would like to have it done for the shower. (It's going to be tough - she might get a partial blanket so see at the shower and I will have to take it back to finish it!!)

My second project is to finish a wedding sampler for my niece who is getting married in March.  I have the wording all done just have to finish the border and get it framed.

My third project is another baby blanket just like the first one I am doing.  I have two great nephews or nieces being born this year, one due in April and the other one in May.  So our family is expanding with marriages in March, and then babies in April and May.

If I am not totally crazy after doing these 3 major things I would like to do one more baby blanket.  My daughters' band director and his wife are expecting in June.  This blanket would be alphabet letters I believe because I am sure I will be really tired of doing animals by then.

So everyone I need your encouragement to get all of these things done and not go crazy - LOL.

Now that I've figured out how to do this. I will be working on my 4 HAED's this year. They are The Astronomer, Train of Dreams, Chocolate,Chocolate & More Chocolate, & Treasure Quest. I willl be starting Treasure Quest on Jan 1. Then I will do 2 weeks on each one in rotation. Hopefully I will be posting progress every 2 weeks instead of every week. That being said I may change the rotation to 1 week on each. Decisions decisions decisions. We'll see how it goes.
Can't wait to see what everyone else is working on this year. This will be a great source of inspiration.

Thanks So Much!!!!

I am so happy you started this blog!  I have so many WIPs I would like to get done this year!  Thanks so much for inviting me : )

Plans for the New Year

As many of you, have big plans for the New Year. Need to finish ornaments I started and then will start an ABC piece out of the 2011 Cross Stitch Calender. Also need to finish a UFO that has been sitting in a box for something like 8 years. There are probably many others that I want to add, but think that is enough for now.

Again, Thanks Terri for starting this it is a great idea.

New Year Stitching

Thanks for allowing me to participate in the blog. Like you, I have a lot I want to accomplish this year. One project I may actually finish today! I have been working on my grandson's birth sampler for several years. Aiden is going to be 3 on Jan.24 and I wanted to have it finished by then. I worked on it yesterday and I am almost finished! I just need to put on his birthdate and do a little outlining on the animal faces and it will be ready to go to the framers!
I have quite a few goals for this coming years. I have started Autumn at Hawk Hollow Run and would like to have at least four - six blocks done by the end of the year. It will be my big project. I am about half way finished with a picture of Monticello that I purchased on vacation this past summer. I bought about a half dozen kits at different historical sites and I would like to add them to my rotation. My small projects will be towels, coasters, etc. that I have had bought up for years and I want to get some of them worked. That means that I will have the big project, a historical kit project, and a small project going. I think that this is a reasonable goal. Good luck to everyone else on achieving their stitching and nonstitching goals for this year. Angel

So...

What is everyone stitching for the New Year? I have my 15 new starts which I will work on through out the year but I also have a model stitching job that I'm going to be doing for Kustom Kraft. But I have a lot I want to finish this year as well. So what is everyone going to focus on?

What a great blog idea!

Thanks so much for creating this blog!  I'm looking forward to being impressed, inspired, "enabled" and encouraged and on occasion, as needed, kicked in the behind to either ramp up or reign in this passion that I love so much!!
