A finish!!

This is an awful picture (we're under a tornado watch and it's dark and cloudy here today and I just couldn't get the lighting right - the frame is gold, not wood!!), but I still wanted to share my finish!  This is a brithday gift for my mom.  I made lots of changes in this piece in regards to color and I'm really happy with the end result.  I might stitch this piece again for myself and I think I might be stitching a lot more La-D-Da designs in the future.  :)
Keep up the lovely stitching that you're sharing.  I love seeing what everyone is working on and watching all the projects "bloom".
Hugs,
Sharon

First letter is done on this piece.

Stitched with Threadworx 11611

DMC 321, 349 & 3781.

Liking how this is coming out. Not quite sure about the white in the leaf, but that was the way it was charted so went with it. B is for Bird will be start sometime this week when it comes up in the calendar.

Treasure Quest.

Hi, Just thought I'd pop on with a picture of my progress on Treasure Quest. It will now be giving its place in the rotation to The Astronomer as it is his turn for some attention. I have also been a bad girl & ordered 5 more charts from HAED. It is truly an addiction.

Terri's Day 12 and 13

I worked on Day 12 which was Wisconsin really didn't do a lot but I did get a few stitches in. Here is a picture of it:

So yesterday I worked on Day 13 which was 3 Faces of Santa. I restarted this design as I started a long time ago on cashell and hated it. I am currently stitching it on Silkweavers 28ct lugana it is a green color not sure what it is as it is one of their limited edition. I love the feel of the fabric it is so soft. Here is a picture of where I got to yesterday:

I have also been working on Advice From a Caterpillar for a SAL on the HAED bb. It ran from Friday to Thursday so here it is before :

And here it is now:

I also worked on my model but have to rip all that I did out. I am so frustrated as I messed up somewhere and not sure where. But that's ok it will get all my attention tomorrow and Sunday.

So day 14 is 2009 Boo club and day 15 is Celtic Spring. Stay tuned to Sunday :)

Cheers

Question for you all

Think I may run out of room on my fabric. It is 18" across and the letters are about 2" with the pictures added, without the pictures they will be maybe and 1 1/2". Will be doing 4 across and will space added in-between not sure there is enough room. Can you all let me know what you think. This post is also on my blog if you would rather leave comment there. Will leave you with a pictures of my progress so far. The fabric is a pale blue, not sure you can see the color in this picture.

Twilight

Well I am 2 pages ito the freebie Twilight by Celtic Rose ( freebie no longer available). It really looks so much better in life then it does in this photo, the colors blend a lot better in person. My goal for this week is to get 1/2 way though page 3, the pattern has 9 pages in total . My 2011 goal is to finish this :) This pattern has so much 939 in it and boy after awhile I really get sick of stitching with that navy blue !! Off to go do some stitching :)

Tiger Portrait

Since my last post of January 3rd, I have been working on the Tiger Portrait and really happy how it is coming along.  Have been working on it after supper every night for 5 hours.  This is of a Tiger head peeking through tall grass.  Still hard to work with dark colours, so I am going to take a break for a few days and work on a couple of other projects.  I am a model stitcher for a plastic canvas group so I need to stitch up a coaster set and then start a SAL through another Yahoo group (stitchesandstuff).  I will be working on Seasons of Owls by Tonia Pappan of Oakhaven Designs.

Brief Intro.

Following the start of 5 new projects on New Years Day, I have been focussing on finishing LHN's Neighbourhood. The first thing I discovered was that I had raided that floss box for the colour that I needed to finish the roof of the final house. So I continued on with the rest of that row, only to discover that I had also raided the floss box for the pink used in the flower that frames the house! Not to worry, I just continued with my stitching and have almost finished with the words in the final row. I have subsequently located the roof floss, but am still hunting for the flower floss. I will post a picture of my current progress tomorrow.

Terri's Day 6 and 7

Day 6 was decided to be Athena but with me not feeling the greatest and a little agitated I didn't get much done. Here is the photo:

Picture
Day 7 was decided to be Dream by Lizzie Kate. I decided to take a day off of the model and stitched this up. I would of had this done but I messed up and had to rip most of it out and re-do it but I prevailed so when this gets picked up again I'm sure it will be finished.

I will be back on my model tomorrow during the day. Day 8 is Spooky Welcome so I will be working on that and also working on my Sal piece on the Heaven And Earth BB
Picture
This is my before picture of Advice From a Caterpillar. I just have to find my lap stand :)

Anyways going to go watch tv and relax. Have a great day.

Waiting for fabric

Still waiting for my fabric from Silkweavers to start the 2011 Alphabet Sampler. It will be done on Silver-Blue Dynasty, 18ct. Metalic Aida. Think my problem is that I ordered right before the new year and they are working through other orders. This happened the last time I ordered from them but it was a custom so had to wait for them to dye it. Getting antsy, so when it gets here will probably start right away. In the meantime have finished another ornament. Will cut it out and back it after I get a few more done, these are close together and don't want to risk running out of room.

Socialsue's Day 3

This is Day 3 of my Crazy Jan Challenge. This is "Spirit of the Sockeye". This will be a challenge because it is on 28 ct black, Cashell linen. It is difficult for me to see the holes to stitch.

Terri's Day 4 and 5 of the Crazy January SAL lol

Well it has been a busy couple of days. I have finally got my fabric for the model so I have started that. I do time on the model and then move to mine for the SAL. I am really enjoying the model only challenge is it's on Navy Blue lol but I'm loving the challenge :) Sorry cannot show you what I'm stitching until it is released :) Let us just say a few people will be happy :)

As for Day 4 of the Crazy January SAL I have chosen two for that day. They aren't very big so I thought we will combine them. They are both Mill Hill Kits and I'm enjoying it.

This is what Merry will look like when finished:
Merry:

And this is what Haunted Hotel will look like when finished:
Haunted Hotel:

Day 5 I decided to work on the gift for my adopted daughter. She won't see it till Christmas I think as there is a lot of confetti stitching to it but it will look awesome. It is called The Pack by Janlynn.
Here is what it will look like when done:

And here is where I got to last night:

So for day 6 I will be working on Mirabilia's Athena. I am looking forward to that but first I have to work on the model until at least 3 or 4 as that is all the daylight I have.

Current Project

This is the project that I'm currently working on.  It's LaDDa's "Love Spoken Here".  I'm making this for my Mom's up-coming birthday.  I still need to stitch the border on this, but at least I'm moving forward.  After I finish this, I'm going to paw through my "wanna do" stash and pick out something new and fun to stitch for me!  :)

I love seeing what everyone is working on and all the progress that's being made!  Thanks for sharing!  :)

Hugs,
Sharon

Happy New Year 2011

These are four squares that I have completed in one of the baby blankets that I am doing.  I have two of these to do by May.
This is a wedding sampler that I am doing for my niece.  She is getting married on March 5, 2011 so I need to get it done asap to get it to the framers.  I managed to do a lot of stitching on this on Sunday.  I was invited to a Browns/Steelers football game and although I am not a football person I took my stitching with me.  This was the perfect thing to take cause all I have to do is fill in the border so there is no counting involved.  This way I was able to stitch and talk to everyone at the party.

Hope you all enjoy my stitching!!

Tiger Portrait

This is the pattern that I started back in July 2009 and promised my hubby that I will finish for him this year.  I am not really enjoying this too much because of the dark colours.  At the time I started it, needed new glasses, I also bought a light that attaches to my hoop so it is much easier now to work with.  Give myself 3 months to finish.

"Mr.Snowman and Friends"

I finished this "Mr. Snowman and Friends" by Diane Graebner. It is stitched on 28 ct. Cashel Linen. It will be made into an ornament.

Crazy January SAL

Well the first two days went off without a hitch. I decided to give myself a break from Monopoly and decided to work on a few of the new starts that I have started on January 1st. So I decided considering I already started 15 new projects on the first day of January that I'd join this Crazy January SAL. The objective is to start 15 new projects in 15 days. Which really isn't a problem for me lol. The challenge will be to finish them in 2011. Now that is Crazy I hope I make it :) Plus with a model to stitch and some of the ones that I have started already that I want to get near or completed this will be interesting lol

So one project I decided to work on was Snowman by Margaret Sherry. I did have to stop as I do not have one of the colours, which I will pick up tomorrow as I'm out and about tomorrow. So here is my progress on that. This is being worked on 28 ct blue evenweave that I had in my stash.

So with not having that one colour I am off and running on Santa's North Pole. It is being stitched on 28ct Hand painted linen called Nuthatch. Wow what an experience that one is. The fabric is beautiful but it has the sparklies in it and that gets a bit annoying. And the colour changes are amazing there is so much changes lol. I think HAED is mild by comparison on this chart. But I am loving it. It will be interesting to see if it will actually fit on the fabric. Here is the first part of the tree. I decided to backstitch as I go as there is so much backstitching. If I left it to the end it wouldn't get done. So here is the picture of it.

I am enjoying it. So we shall see what I feel like working on tomorrow :)
Have a great Night
Blessings

So Many WIPS To Get Done!!!

I have too many WIPS to finish and so happy we have this Blog!!  I have 54 WIPS/UFO's that I really need to work on!  So there will be no new starts for quite awhile. Since I am a Startaholic this can be tough, lol.  With all your help I know I can do it : )
At the moment I am doing Frederick the Literate, Snoozin and  Snowfriend Orn. from Demensions.  This blog will help me to be more motivated.
Thanks

Terri's Post LONG

Warning this post is going to be picture heavy.

What a Year many ups and downs through out 2010, more downs then ups but I did get through another year. I ended the year on a high however. I again this year did The Magic of Christmas *see My Blog post for pictures*, and again was a very rewarding experience. I did he hospitals again and the centre I went to was again touching. I thought of Rene La Frog when I was doing my rounds. I do believe we have touched some lives in a positive way. There was one gentleman that was touched by us caring for him on Christmas and giving him a stuffed animal. He asked about what the organization was. After we explained to him about it I gave him a hug he started to cry that I cared so much for him I am seriously considering going back to see him. One woman was touched because in her 91 years it was the first time she ever got a teddy bear. Another patient wanted a Koala because he was from Australia originally and I did find one for him cause all the kids in us know that "Santa Delievers". One case that interested me the most was a woman didn't want us to talk or look at her. But when I saw her eating lunch I was able to talk to her and made her smile, the aids were shocked as she is a very aggressive woman. I am glad I went. We did some random Elfing's and made a lot of people smile. That is the best gift ever!!

Not a lot of stitching was done for the year but I plan on making up for that. I still play WOW but not a lot as it has lost all interest even with the new expansion.

For the New Year I have 16 new starts planned, all for January 1st I also have a model stitching job for Kustom Kraft. Really looking forward to that. I have my first assignment but I have to wait for the LNS to open on Tuesday to get the fabric for it. Another thing I am looking forward to is going back to school. I am still waiting for the funding to be approved.

So my 16 New Starts are as follows with photos:

Merry by Mill Hill:

Celtic Christmas by L&L this is a restart:

Wisconsin by Oberlin Samplers for my sister:

Dream by Lizzie Kate have to redo this one as mine went missing:

Snowman by Margaret Sherry got this as a RAK. I love snowmen:

Santa's North Pole by Glendon Place:

Haunted Hotel by Mill Hill:

2009 Boo Club by Lizzie Kate:

Just a little Peace and Quiet by Dragon Dreams:

Spooky Welcome by Stoney Creek:

Guardian Spirits by Dimensions for my adopted daughter:

Athena Goddess by Mirabilia:

Celtic Spring by L&L:

Firefly Fairies by L&L:

Three Faces of Santa by Vermilion Stitchery:

and last but not least The Pack by Janlynn also for my adopted daughter as her Native name is Lil grey wolf:

So for my 2011 goals they are:
Finish Monopoly almost there
Work on my KK models
Get ready for school
Start all January Starts *already done* lol
Finish Mystery XII
Finish SK Oriental Courage.
There will be more goals added through out the year but that is the main ones I wanted. Thank you all for hanging out with me this year and I'm excited for what the new year has to hold for me
Blessings
Terri
